Is Online Gambling Tax on the Poor?
The Obama Administration released an opinion about the legality of online gambling.
The opinion came directly from the Justice Department and essentially gives the States that ability to allow online gambling within the confines of the State’s borders. The stipulation is that online gambling may not be sports betting. Some are concerned that the States would eventually band together and create interstate online gambling which still has some questions hanging in the air.
Some also feel that online gambling will hurt the poor in the United States. Studies have shown that the poor in the US are those that are hit hardest by games of chance run by the government, with the predominant game being the lottery. M
